Silenos Energy is currently building a new geothermal power power plant with water cooling near Garching an der Alz river. The installed electrical capacity is 4.3 MW. For this purpose, two boreholes were drilled to a depth of around 3,830 m in order to use water with a temperature of 125°C. The cooling water is drawn from the nearby Alz headrace canal. Silenos Energy has commissioned Helmut Ferrari as private expert of the State of Bavaria (PSW) with the approval of the construction of the cooling water plant and the suface drainage system according corresponding laws and given permission.
